Venus Fly Trap | Dionaea muscipula Care:

• Watering: Always use rainwater, distilled water, or reverse osmosis water. Use the tray method to keep the soil constantly damp.

• Light: Provide at least 4–6 hours of direct sunlight, ideally on a sunny windowsill.

• Soil/Potting: Use a 1:1 mix of sphagnum moss and perlite or sand, avoiding standard potting soil or fertiliser.

• Feeding: They do not need to be fed, but can be given insects occasionally. Never trigger traps for fun as it wastes energy.

• Dormancy: In winter, they require a 3–4 month rest in a cool, bright spot 5-10ºC.
