Striped Fireball Bromeliad | Nidularium schultesianum Care:
Light: Bright, indirect light is essential. Direct sun can scorch the leaves, while too little light will dull the red, striped color.
Water: Maintain a small amount of water in the central cup (tank) at all times, refreshing it every few weeks to prevent stagnation. Water the soil sparingly, allowing it to dry out between waterings to prevent root rot. Use rainwater or filtered water if possible.
Humidity & Temp: High humidity is preferred. Mist regularly or use a pebble tray. Thrives in temperatures between 18–26°C (60–80°F).
Soil/Potting: Use a fast-draining,, airy mix, such as orchid bark, perlite, and potting soil.
Feeding: Use a diluted liquid fertiliser or orchid fertiliser monthly in spring and summer, applied to the soil or as a mist.
