Inch Plant ‘Purple’ | Tradescantia sp. Care:

• Light: Thrives in bright, indirect light. They can handle some direct sun (especially morning sun), but intense, direct sunlight can scorch leaves. Insufficient light causes colours to fade and plants to become leggy.

• Watering: Prefers to have the soil kept moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top 1-2 inches of soil to dry out between waterings. Reduce watering in winter.

• Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix. A standard, high-quality houseplant potting soil mixed with perlite or pumice is ideal.

• Temperature: Prefers temperatures between 18-24ºC but is versatile with temperature levels.

• Humidity: Thrives in normal household humidity but benefits from higher humidity levels, such as in a bathroom or conservatory.

• Fertilising: Feed with a balanced, liquid houseplant fertiliser at half-strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer).
