Flaming Sword Bromeliad | Vriesea 'splenriet' Care:

• Light: Place in bright, indirect light. Direct sun can scorch leaves.

• Watering:

  • Central Cup: Keep the central "tank" or urn filled about 1/2 to 2/3 with clean water (preferably filtered/rainwater).

  • Soil: Keep potting soil lightly moist but not waterlogged, allowing the top 1-2 inches to dry out between waterings.

  • Frequency: Mist the plant frequently for extra humidity.

• Soil & Potting: Use a fast-draining, well-aerated medium like bark-based potting compost or orchid mix. Our Everyday Soil Mix Works very well

• Fertilising: Apply a diluted, water-soluble fertiliser once a month during spring and summer.

• After-care: After the flower dies, the parent plant will gradually fade. Remove "pups" from the base when they are about 1/4 the size of the original plant for new growth
