Emerald Asparagus Fern | Asparagus densiflorus sprengeri Care:
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light but adapts to partial shade. Avoid direct afternoon sun, which can cause scorching.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist, allowing only the top inch to dry between waterings. They are somewhat drought-tolerant due to water-storing tuberous roots but prefer regular watering.
Humidity: Thrives in high humidity. Mist regularly or place on a tray with damp pebbles, especially in winter or when near heating.
Temperature: Thrives in average household warmth, ideally 16°C–26°C
Soil & Fertiliser: Use a well-draining, potting compost (e.g., Mix with perlite/sand). Feed with a weak liquid fertiliser once a month during spring and summer.
Maintenance: Repot in spring if the plant becomes root-bound. Trim back leggy stems to 5cm above the root ball to encourage bushy regrowth.
