Calathea roseopicta "Medallion" Care:
Light: Medium to bright indirect light is best. Avoid direct sunlight, which causes leaves to fade and burn.
Watering: Keep soil damp at all times. Water when the top 2 inches of soil feel dry, roughly every 7-8 days. Do not allow it to sit in soggy soil, which leads to root rot.
Humidity: High humidity is essential. Place in a bathroom, use a humidifier, or use a pebble tray.
Temperature: Maintain warm, stable temperatures, ideally 18-23ºC
Soil: Use well-draining potting soil mixed with perlite (e.g., 2:1 ratio) to ensure aeration.
Fertiliser: Feed with a weak, nitrogen-rich liquid fertiliser monthly during the growing season (March-September).
Maintenance: Clean leaves regularly with a damp cloth to boost photosynthesis and check for pests.
