Boston Fern | Nephrolepis exaltata Care:
Light: Thrives in bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sun can burn the fronds, while too little light leads to sparse growth.
Watering: Keep the potting mix consistently moist. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. They are sensitive to drying out, so mist regularly or use a pebble tray to increase humidity.
Humidity: Thrives in 60%–80% humidity; ideal for kitchens or bathrooms.
Soil: Use a peat-based, well-draining potting mix.
Temperature: Prefers temperatures between18-24ºC but can tolerate 13-27ºC Keep away from draughts and radiators.
Fertilising: Feed monthly during spring and summer with a diluted liquid houseplant fertiliser.
Repotting/Pruning: Repot every 1–2 years in spring when root-bound. Trim brown or yellow fronds to encourage new growth.
