Chinese Money Plant | Pilea peperomioides Care:
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light (e.g., near an east or west-facing window). Avoid intense, direct afternoon sun, which can burn leaves.
Watering: Water when the top 2-5 cm (1-2 inches) of soil is dry, or when the leaves slightly droop. Overwatering causes yellowing and root rot.
Soil & Drainage: Use a well-draining houseplant potting mix, ideally blended with perlite or cactus soil to increase aeration. Ensure the pot has drainage holes.
Temperature & Humidity: Thrives in standard household temperatures 15-24ºC. It prefers 50% or higher humidity but tolerates average room conditions.
Fertiliser: Feed with a balanced, diluted, water-soluble fertiliser once or twice a month during the growing season (spring and summer).
Rotation: These plants lean toward the light; rotate them every few days to keep them straight.
