Blue Star Fern | Phlebodium aureum Care:
Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which causes scorch, though they can tolerate lower light levels, it may limit their growth.
Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Water around the plant, avoiding the center of the rhizomes, and ensure the pot drains well.
Humidity: High humidity is essential, especially in winter. Ideal for kitchens and bathrooms; otherwise, mist regularly or place on a tray of damp pebbles.
Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix, ideally, one that is rich in organic matter or a mix suitable for ferns, such as compost mixed with bark and orchid mix.
Temperature: Thrives in standard household temperatures, ideally 16-24ºC, but can survive colder moments down to 10ºC.
Fertilising: Feed with a diluted balanced liquid fertiliser once a month during the growing season (spring through summer)
